(From left to right) Taiga, Ryuji, Minori, Yūsaku Kitamura,Ami Kawashima

PLOT: “Toradora!’s story begins with the male protagonist Ryūji Takasu who is frustrated at trying to look his best as he enters his second year of high school. Despite his gentle personality, his eyes make him look like an intimidating delinquent, so he is utterly hopeless about his chances of getting a girlfriend anytime soon, and does not have many close friends either. After being greeted by his hungover mother in the morning, Ryūji goes to school and is happy to find that he gets to be in the same class with his best friend Yūsaku Kitamura and a girl he has a crush on, Minori Kushieda. However, it is then that he unexpectedly knocks into “the school’s most dangerous animal of the highest risk level”—Taiga Aisaka—who just happens to also be in his class, and is a good friend of Minori.

Taiga has a negative attitude towards others and will not hesitate to snap at people. After meeting Ryūji, she takes an instant dislike of him. Taiga comes from a rich family, but she has moved out to live on her own due to family issues. She is coincidentally living in an apartment next to Ryūji’s. When Ryūji discovers that Taiga has a crush on Yūsaku, and Taiga finds out about Ryūji’s affections towards Minori, Ryūji suggests that they cooperate to win the objects of their affections. Taiga exploits the fact that Ryūji will do anything to get closer to Minori. She makes him her personal servant, getting him to do all her household chores (cooking and cleaning). Taiga spends a lot of her time over at his house, so much that she could almost be considered a member of his family. Since Ryūji spends a lot of time with Taiga, he has opened up to her world and to a side of her that most people do not see. The two also try to help each other improve the way people view them. However people they know from school start to become curious about their strange relationship and rumors begin to spread about them behind their backs.” Taken from Wikipedia.

This is Ryūji Takasu

When I think of this anime one phrase comes to my mind “One of the best animes of this/last season only second to Casshern Sins (Review coming soon)”.  This anime is not perfect but its really close to being perfect. But that just my feelings of this show (and Casshern) if you feel a different way about ToraDora! ill like to hear your opinion and i will respect your opinion.

I mean I have not seen any other anime with there main character having the eyes of an intimidating delinquent but is a really nice guy. His first meeting with Taiga is funny and original

This is How they first meet (Fan dubbed by voice acting Ninja not official dub)

^^ plot above.

But the animation in ToraDora! is almost always highest quality.  there are some time were the animation quality falls low, this scene im talking about is when (SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! YOU BEEN WARNED) Taiga And Sumire Kanō fight.

47“boot to the head”

See what I mean but im willing to over look these little low points in the animation due to the fact that ToraDora! is not a anime centered around fighting. But what this anime is centered a round is High school romance and it does that part well; even though these concepts are not the most original stories out there. ToraDora! pull this off well with all ways keeping the story fresh  with twist and turns all the way up to the end to keep the watcher interested to the show and story.

ToraDora! is funny original and always making the watcher want more and then wraps the show up with a excellent ending with twist and turns up the the ending credits (the ending moved me to tears Im a big baby when it comes to stuff like this XP ) . And Ryuji bird (Inko-chan) is adorable

Story: I would give Toradora! a 9/10  because it is not the most original story ; but its enjoyable and that what anime’s purpose; to fill people with enjoyment when they watch their show. 9/10. Ps. The ending is amazing like i said up above it brought me to tears (thats how much I was into this series)

Animation: I would give the animation another 9/10, Toradora would have gotten a 10/10 but it those few scenes that just makes me not give it a ten. but I don’t fault the anime for it at least it remains the same consistency of quality unlike some anime ( Im looking at you Minami-ke Okaeri. just watch minami-ke Okaeri youll know what i mean by that)

Openings and endings: This series has a total of  4 opening and endings (2 OP and 2 ED)

1st op

“Pre-parade” by Rie Kugimiya, Eri Kitamura, and Yui Horie

2nd Op

“Silky Heart” by Yui Horie

1st ED

Vanilla Salt by Yui Horie

2nd ED

Orange by Kugimiya Rie, Horie Yui, Kitamura Eri

These songs are all really good and fit the mood of the series that they are the Op/Ed for I give these a 9/10

Overall: ToraDora is one anime that people who love anime (or Romance stories in general) should watch. This show is an enjoyable experience that is one of the best to come out this/last season this anime is solid 9/10.

I Recommend this anime to anyone and everyone this  is on the top of my anime list. (otaku plus seal of approval image may be coming soon i hope)

Here is more Inko-Chan

I was really into this anime e while watching it but at the end my feelings for it really did drop. The first point is that Ryuji shouldve ended up with Minori or Ami. Ever sincthe near start i suspected that Ryuji would get together with Taiga but i thought it would ruin it. And they did. And i think that it did. This also left Kitamura alone. After Taiga took away the president from him she then ditches him for Ryuji. I think that it would have been a perfect ending if Taiga didnt suddenly have a change of heart at the end. I wouldve liked it a lot more if Taiga didnt mess it all up. But then again i’m not really good with endings…

ive already seen the last episode.
but you make it sound like there is more to what happens at the end, like i missed something important.
can you tell me what you saw?

    my thoughts on this: ToraDora

great story line, and original character design. characters are designed to be non-stereotypic
1.)Ryuji – looks deliquent but loves to care for other people, clean and cook.
2.) amy – first introduced as a primadona but turns out to be the most matured in the group (she hates ryuji for not making up his mind and hurting taiga and minori in the process)
3.) minori – energetic and light hearted (acts like a child) but you never know how she really feels and thinks. just like a puzzle!
4.) yusaku – seems like the perfect guy/stuedent but a masochistic/perverted side….another matured personality in the series.
    lat but not the least
5.) aisaka – taiga is taiga thats it…I fell in love with the character. She seeks love but doesn’t really show it!

Great ending: watch again if you havent seen the part after the credits are through….

    wishing for another season
